Vancouver’s maritime industry met at the Terminal City Club on April 5 for an informal luncheon. The event has proven to be highly successful in attracting key industry representatives looking for an enjoyable lunch and networking as well as to hear from representatives presenting issues of interest. This month’s presenters included Andrew Kostiw, Director, Treasury Management, TD Bank, who gave a great overview of ways to protect businesses from fraud. Kostiw noted that his article coming up in the May issue of BC Shipping News provided more details. Also, Wallace Oyama from the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority provided a high-level overview of the port’s performance in 2017.
The next luncheon is scheduled for June 7, 2018.
